The Potato Peeler

Although I painted The Potato Peeler monumentally, she is a Batwa and one of the poorest people on earth. The root, or potato, that she cleans will be the only meal she gets that day. I hope you find her as beautiful as I do.

New Africa

This painting was inspired by a photo taken from a speeding bus as I traveled from Bujumbura, Burundi to the mountain town of Gitega on my first trip to the Homes of Hope Orphanage. I knew when I saw this man in his traditional robes, that I would one day paint this scene. Before him Africa is changing as quickly as the approaching storm. The soil in Burundi is orange clay, thus the use of orange throughout the painting. I hope you enjoy it.

Four more years and Election Night celebrations! Cheers to you Mr President, and to all of us !

The President says if you haven't done so already...GO VOTE! He would like you to vote for him, of course, but he wants to you participate in this great democracy by voting. Today is the day! November 6 -  Election Day!

The President arrives in Seattle, Washington. From the east coast to the west coast, the President has made friends wherever he has traveled.

It was a great trip Mr. President! Traveling across the country, making new friends, and seeing the incredible beauty that is America is a journey that every American should make. 

But Mr. President, there is one more task to accomplish. On November 6, let's see  if you complete your big journey to the White House for a second term!
